BIBLE: Shadrach and Jeremiah

November 29th - December 3rd

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday break for Thanksgiving! This week we will pick up where we left off with our trio. We read in our Bibles last week about Nebuchadnezzer's soldiers being burned up as they threw the three jews into the
FIERY FURNACE!

Monday, we will be using our Bibles again to read Daniel 1 and learn how the jews received their new Babylonian names and why they refused to eat the food Nebuchadnezzer provided for them. We will complete the worksheet: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: Project 2: Bible Reading

Tuesday, we will be making a our tissue box diorama's of the three Jews in the furnace with the divine 4th figure protecting them. We will also review for our test on Wednesday. Make sure to have your binders in order so you can study from your worksheets over this lesson.

Thursday, we will move on to our lesson over one of the major prophets, Jeremiah. We use our reading cards and complete the worksheet: The Ministry of Jeremiah: Worksheet

Friday, we will use our Bibles and read different passages from the book of Jeremiah and each of the students will write a paragraph about one of the stories we read about then read it aloud to the class. This will be the worksheet: Ministry of Jeremiah: Project 1 - Bible Reading

Mission: On a piece of notebook paper, write down what kind of Diorama we will be making in class this week. If you have one, bring a square tissue box, if you don't have one, don't worry, we will find some around the school.
