LITERATURE: February 14-18

It's a beautiful day! Hope you're having a good weekend, and getting your Valentines ready for tomorrow's party!

This week, you will be summarizing your legend from King Arthur for the class. Make sure you can TELL the story in an organized way, and that you have your summary paper filled out. You may use that as you relate your story to us.

We will finish King Arthur on Wednesday by watching a very good A&E Biography of King Arthur--it is filmed on location in England and has some beautiful castle scenes!

Your homework for this week is below, as well as your spelling words for Friday's test. The spelling comes from our new book, St. Francis: A Life of Joy.

HOMEWORK: On Monday you will receive:

1. Your new spelling words for a test on Friday

2. A study guide for a test over the Folklore genres of Myth, Legend, Fable, Fairy Tale, and Epic on THURSDAY this week. You will also have some questions over the St. Francis book and what genre you feel it best fits into.

3. The book, St. Francis: A Life of Joy which you need to have read by this Friday for a discussion after your spelling test. The book is only 31 pages long and 13 of those pages are full- page illustrations!
