Nov. 28-Dec. 2: Lit/LA and Science and Latin II

Literature/LA: This week we're beginning The Hobbit! Our spelling words will come from the chapters assigned for each week--the spelling test will take place on Friday, as usual. There will be questions that go along with each chapter for you to answer that will help you think about what you read and help guide our discussions in class.

In grammar we will continue with our new friends, prepositions. You will have several opportunities to work independently with our new material.

Science:
We will learn how animals that live in extreme climates survive. On Monday we'll experiment with blubber gloves to understand how an animal's body fat aids in its survival.

Latin II: This week we begin chapter 7, which focuses on 2nd declension neuter noun endings.

November 21-22: Lit/LA

No spelling this week due to Thanksgiving break!

On Monday we will spend our class time working on our Beowulf projects, which are due Tuesday. On Tuesday we will spend time finishing our projects, if needed, and do a bit more work with prepositions in grammar.
