Elijah Comic Strips

The 4th graders used their wonderful artistic skills to create comic strips about their lesson covering Elijah and the Prophets of Baal. I've uploaded some pictures for you to enjoy. -Ms. B

History/Bible Aug. 29-Sept. 2

Alright 4th Graders! This week's assignments will be...

St. Augustine

Monday:
History - "A Son of So Many Prayers Cannot Be Lost" Reading Packet, we will read and discuss together in class.
Bible - "Elijah destroys the prophets of Baal" Comic Strip. You will be creating a short comic strip showing the events that lead up to Elijah and the Prophets of Baals showdown atop Mt. Carmel. You will need to have most of this finished today or this evening because I will only allow a short period of time for finishing touches on Tuesday.

Tuesday:
History -Using our materials over this lesson of St. Augustine, we will begin reviewing for our test on Wednesday.
Bible - Finishing touches to our comic strips, then presentation to the class. We will have some review for a test over Elijah and the Prophets of Baal test coming up on Friday.

Thursday:
No Class...FIELD TRIP! YAY!

Friday:
History - We will use our reading cards and begin our lesson over "Barbarian Invasion and the Vikings".

Welcome to 4th Grade Math

We have been working on multiplication by playing games in centers.



One of our centers involves practicing at http://www.multiplication.com/.



The games there are set up to help learn the multiplication tables.




Our lessons for the week of Sept. 13-16 will be the following:



Monday - Lessons 6 and 7 communitive property, write numbers in word form



Tuesday - Lessons 8 and 9 Fact Families, Subtract 2 and 3 digit numbers.



Wednesday - Lesson 10 Subtraction



Thursday - Section 1 Assessment



Friday - Friday Fun Day - continue working on multiplication centers.

Homework for the week of September 12-16

Monday - Receive "Drops in the Bucket" #1 - Due Wednesday.
Wednesday - Receive "Drops in the Bucket" #2 - Due Friday.
Any work that is not completed in class will also be homework.
